As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @eka_oktavie on Monday (7/10), the sago pearls that are to be used only need to be soaked first. To be more precise, put 100 grams of sago pearls in a bowl. Then add water until submerged. If so, soak for approximately 10 minutes.

Well, soaked sago pearls will absorb water and the texture will become soft. Don't worry if it's not perfectly cooked, sago pearls will become softer when cooked or steamed with other ingredients. Next, put the sago into another bowl. Then add 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, and 100 grams of grated coconut. Stir all these ingredients until they are completely mixed.

Next, prepare a steamer pan and fill it with water. Heat the water in it. Once done, arrange the awug-awug on the steamer strainer. Then cover the pan and steam the awug-awug for 20 minutes. The cooked sago pearl awug-awug can be served immediately. Although the process of making it is very practical, the taste of this awug-awug is really delicious and appetizing. It tastes sweet and legit and the texture is soft. Meanwhile, the sago pearls used are also perfectly cooked.
