Brilio.net - Fried tempeh is one of the most delicious and practical tempeh dishes. Not without reason, tempeh marinated with salt can taste delicious when fried. However, many people then get creative with marinades, some even use flour mixture to increase the crunchiness of the tempeh.

Fried tempeh flour dough is generally made from wheat flour. Usually this wheat flour is mixed with other spices such as garlic powder, coriander, salt and pepper. This mixture of ingredients can make fried tempeh crispier and tastier.

Unfortunately, in some cases, fried tempeh mixed with wheat flour tends to get soft easily when it cools. Not only that, the texture of tempeh also becomes oily if the amount of flour is not right. As a result, you need a special trick to fry the tempeh so that it is crispy.

But instead of using a special technique like that, you can copy the recipe shared by Instagram user @nanakitchen_92 for making fried tempeh. Instead of using wheat flour, he chose to use basic spices such as salt, coriander and garlic. But there is one additional ingredient that is an important key to making the tempeh texture crispier.

How to make super crispy fried tempeh.

Reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @nanakitchen_92, Sunday (7/7), the kitchen ingredient added was cornstarch. So, it is important to add this type of flour so that the texture of the fried tempeh is crispier and not oily. However, the amount used doesn't need to be too much so that the tempeh doesn't stick to each other when fried.

For a clearer process, prepare the tempeh and cut it into pieces first. Make sure the size is not too thin or wide, okay? After that, mix coriander powder, garlic powder and salt in one container. Don't forget to also add about 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.

Next, pour enough water and stir until all the ingredients are dissolved. Only then put each slice of tempeh into the bowl. Turn the tempeh over and let it sit for a few minutes so that the flavors absorb.

Once done, fry the tempeh one by one in heated oil. Let stand until one side is yellowish, then turn the tempeh over. Then fry until really crispy and perfectly cooked.

Once cooked, drain the tempeh immediately. With this mixture, fried tempeh becomes crispier and less oily, you know. Apart from that, the spices are also easier to absorb and make the taste maximum delicious.
