Generally, crispy tofu is mixed with wheat flour dough. However, many people still fail to make the dough curly and crispy after frying if they only use wheat flour. That's why many choose to add other types of flour such as rice flour.

Before getting into the trick, prepare a container filled with spices such as 1 tsp of powdered broth, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of garlic powder. Dissolve all the spices with water. After that, prepare the tofu pieces and soak them in the spiced water.

TikTok account owner @dapur_mamike22 explained that tofu can be left to soak in spiced water for 30 minutes. You can also cover the container containing the soaked tofu so that the tofu stays fresh and does not oxidize easily.

While waiting for the tofu to soak, you can mix the flour mixture. Add 250 grams of medium protein flour and 1 tsp of baking powder. Yup, those are the two main ingredients to practice the tofu frying trick so that the mixture is curly and crispy.
Also add 1 tsp of chicken stock, then stir well. Set aside a little part of the flour mixture to another container to be made into a wet dough.

If the tofu has been evenly coated with flour, then fry it in hot oil using medium heat. Wait until it turns brown, then remove and drain the tofu.
