How to slice meat properly so it's not tough.

To cut meat so that it is not tough, there are several things you can do.

1. Choose the right type of meat.

Some types of meat tend to be more tender than others. For example, beef tenderloin or sirloin tends to be more tender than other parts.

2. Cutting against the grain.

When cutting meat, make sure to cut against the grain. This helps break down muscle fibers, making the meat taste softer when eaten.

3. Beat the meat.

Before cooking, you can pound the meat with a meat mallet to break up the fibers and make it more tender.

4. Soak in spices or marinade.

Marinating or soaking the meat in a mixture of spices can help make it more tender and give it a richer taste.

5. Proper roasting.

If you cook meat, make sure not to cook it too long or too hot. Overcooking can make meat tough and dry. Use the right temperature and don't leave the meat on the fire for too long.

6. Rest the meat.

After cooking, let the meat rest for a few moments before cutting. This helps maintain tenderness and allows the meat's natural juices to distribute evenly.
