Brilio.net - Stoves that are used continuously will certainly experience changes. One of the most significant changes is in appearance. The appearance of stoves that are often used will usually become dirtier, dull and oily.

Not only on the stove body, the stove stand is also one of the most vulnerable components to dirt. Splashed oil and spilled food residue can build up, forming an oily layer and crust that is difficult to clean. If left alone, this condition can affect the performance of the stove.

Keeping your stovetops clean requires extra effort and regular cleaning. If not cleaned immediately, grease and stains will harden, making the cleaning process more difficult and time-consuming. Special cleaning agents are often needed to deal with these stubborn stains, one of which is vinegar. Using vinegar is considered very effective in helping to restore the stovetop to its original condition.

However, if you want the stovetop to be shiny again like before, you can use the trick method shared by TikTok user @yuniarscatering_. Through one of the videos uploaded, she admitted to only using two kitchen ingredients to clean the crusty and oily stovetop.

As reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @yuniarscatering_ on Thursday (11/21), the kitchen ingredients in question are dishwashing soap and baking powder. Yup! Even though you don't use vinegar, the results of cleaning the stovetop can be shiny again. There is even no crust left sticking to it anymore.

How to use it is quite easy, remove the tray from the stove body first. After that, place it in a basin. If so, sprinkle the stove tray with baking powder evenly. Then pour enough dish soap.

For maximum results, it is best to let it sit for a few minutes so that the cleaning agent can penetrate into the crust and stains. Once done, you can immediately scrub it using a wire brush.

Then rub it evenly over the entire stovetop. If there are hard-to-reach areas, you can use a toothbrush or a smaller tool.

Do this scrubbing process until all the crust and stains are gone. If it feels clean enough, then rinse the stove stand using running water. After that, dry it first before it is ready to be reinstalled on the stove body.

Basically, a mixture of dish soap and baking powder is effective in removing crust and oil stains on the stovetop because these two ingredients work well together to dissolve fat and scrape off dirt. When dish soap and baking powder are mixed, they create a cleaning solution that is not only effective in emulsifying oil but also has a gentle abrasive property to remove crust. Dish soap removes oil and grease, while baking powder helps lift and scrape off stubborn dirt.
