Brilio.net - Free-range chicken can be processed into various delicious menus. Not only is it fried, it can also be made into shredded soup, porridge, or cooked in curry. Even so, some people admit that they are lazy about cooking free-range chicken because the meat is known to be tough.

So, so that free-range chicken meat isn't too tough, you can boil it using a pressure cooker. Because it is specially designed, a pressure cooker can tenderize free-range chicken meat in a short time, just 10-15 minutes.

But there's no need to worry if you don't have a pressure cooker, because there are other methods you can try. This other method was also demonstrated by netizen TikTok user @mardatillahika. In his video upload, he admitted that it only took 20 minutes to produce tender, boiled free-range chicken meat.

"Guaranteed the chicken is 100% tender and the taste is more juicy and delicious," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from TikTok @mardatillahika on Monday (27/5).

The first step, first cut the free-range chicken meat to the size you like. After that, wash the free-range chicken pieces under running water. Drain then put in a container.

On the other hand, put non-stick Teflon on the stove. Just turn on a small stove fire then heat the Teflon for a few moments. When it's hot, add the free-range chicken pieces one by one.

"Until the Teflon makes a screeching sound when you put the chicken in," said the owner of the video.

Then pour just a little water until it soaks 1/4 of the free-range chicken pieces in the Teflon. Then cover the Teflon and cook for 20 minutes.

"Just use medium to low stove heat so it cooks evenly," he explained.

After cooking for 20 minutes, open the Teflon lid. Well, the free-range chicken pieces are perfectly cooked. This was proven when he shredded the meat using just his hands.

"Even the claw part just fell off like this when it was shredded," he said.

What are the advantages of free-range chicken compared to broiler chicken?

Free-range chicken has several advantages over broiler chicken.

1. It tastes more savory.

Free-range chickens tend to have a richer, tastier meat taste because they are often left to forage for themselves, which makes them more active and have a more varied diet.

2. Better nutritional content.

Because they are often left to find their own food, free-range chickens tend to have better nutritional content, including protein, vitamins and minerals.

3. Some people believe free-range chicken is healthier.

Some people believe that free-range chickens that are raised traditionally without the use of growth hormones or antibiotics are healthier than broiler chickens that are usually raised intensively in cages.

4. Free-range chicken skin is thicker.

Free-range chicken skin tends to be thicker and has more subcutaneous fat, which can provide a better flavor when cooked.

5. Has local characteristics.

Free-range chickens often have different local characteristics, depending on the breed and the environment in which they are raised, providing interesting variations in taste and texture.

However, there are also several disadvantages to free-range chickens, such as higher prices, slower growth, and difficulty being found in certain places.
