Brilio.net - Various kinds of flavorings such as salt, sugar and seasonings have become spices that must be added to cooking. If you want the food to taste better, these spices must of course be added in the right proportions. Because if not, the taste of the food will not match the taste of the maker or connoisseur.

Unfortunately, a number of mistakes such as adding too much spice to cooking often occur. When cooking heavy foods that tend to be savory, many people often add too much salt. As a result, the food becomes salty and less enjoyable to eat.

However, apart from salt, sugar is also one of the spices that is often added in excessive amounts. This has been experienced by Instagram user @melizah21. When he wanted to cook bacem tofu and tempeh, he admitted that the dish tended to be sweet because it was filled with too much brown sugar and sweet soy sauce.

When experiencing problems like that, some people usually add water to reduce the sweet taste. However, adding water can also affect other flavors, such as savory and delicious dishes. If that's the case, you definitely have to add more salt or seasoning to balance the taste.

But instead of adding water like that, Instagram user @melizah21 chose to use another method. Reported by BrilioFood on Friday (2/2), he admitted that he added one kitchen ingredient to balance the taste of the dish which was too sweet. Well, the kitchen ingredient in question is lime juice.

The method is to simply pour a little lime juice into the dish. Then stir until the lime juice is evenly distributed throughout. Make sure this process is done while the stove is still on (in the cooking process).

Well, basically the sour taste of lime juice can neutralize the sweet taste of cooking. Therefore, lime juice is suitable to be used to balance the taste of dishes. Well, apart from being a bacem spice in cooking, lime juice is also effective in balancing the taste in dishes or dishes with a thick texture, such as sauces or thick soups.
