Brilio.net - Tempeh is known as a traditional food. In addition to being delicious, this fermented soybean product also contains many nutrients, one of which is high in protein. Tempeh can be used to replace animal protein.

In addition to protein, as reported by healthline.com, tempeh is also rich in probiotics and prebiotics which are good for digestion. Tempeh is also said to help lower cholesterol, strengthen bones, stabilize blood sugar levels, and so on.

Tempeh is suitable for processing into various types of dishes, whether as a soup, stir-fried, steamed, or simply fried.

When stored, tempeh can usually last for several weeks. However, a netizen has a trick so that tempeh can be stored longer, namely up to 3 months.

"You can store it for up to 2 to 3 months. But I usually only finish it after 1 month because my husband really likes to snack on tempeh," said a netizen familiarly called Rini, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Rini in Ukraine on Wednesday (25/9).

Rini admitted that because she lives in Ukraine and it is difficult to get tempeh in the market, she became fond of making her own tempeh. Well, to keep it fresh, she has a trick to store tempeh. Initially, fresh tempeh can be cut into pieces according to taste first.

After being cut, the tempeh that she will store is usually fried first. The frying method is the same as usual, using enough oil, then put the tempeh in when the oil is hot. Well, Rini explained, the tempeh that will be stored is only fried until half cooked, then drained.

"I deliberately fried it like this (half-cooked), because later when I want to eat it, I'll fry it again," said Rini.

After draining, wait until the tempeh is no longer hot. Only then can the tempeh be arranged in an airtight jar. Next, tempeh can be put in the refrigerator freezer. When you want to eat tempeh, just fry it again until cooked and ready to serve.

"This has been stored for a month, when fried it will still taste good, still fresh," he said.
