Brilio.net - Consuming tubers is very beneficial for the body, and cassava or manioc is one of the most popular. However, consuming cassava should not be careless. Cassava should be consumed when cooked after being heated. According to medicalnewstoday.com, raw cassava contains cyanide poison which is dangerous for the body.

In addition, raw cassava has a very hard texture and is difficult to chew. To cook cassava, people usually boil it first. To make it taste better, cassava boiled water is often given salt.

A netizen named Elshy shared how to boil cassava so that it is not only tasty, but also cracked and soft. Elshy explained that to add to the deliciousness, she added several other spices besides salt. So, how do you make it?

First, peel the cassava skin and cut it into pieces according to taste. After that, the cassava can be washed clean under running water. Elshy also added, it is better to use quality cassava that has just been harvested, so that the results of the boiled cassava can be good later.

"If the cassava has just been harvested and is good, the cassava will definitely look very white like this," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Elshy Shilvy on Tuesday (5/11).

Elshy explained that the cassava boiling process takes approximately 20 minutes for the cassava to crack perfectly. Then, if the cassava has cracked after being boiled for 20 minutes, the cassava can be drained and served immediately. However, if it has not completely cracked, the cassava can be boiled for another 10 minutes.

"The cassava is very beautiful, this is enough, all the cassava looks bigger than before, it is soft, tender, and cracked," said Elshy.

He also explained, in addition to being served directly as boiled cassava, you can also fry it. The method is, just wait until the boiled cassava is cold, then fry it in hot oil while occasionally turning it over until it is brown and crispy.
