Brilio.net - The love story of Nurcholis Martha and Nurhidayah Suhaimi recently went viral on social media. This couple attracted public attention because of their large age difference, where the wife is 13 years older than her husband.
Nurcholis, who is now 40 years old, first met Nurhidayah when he worked as an Islamic bookstore keeper in Kebayoran, Jakarta. Reporting from a talk show on private TV, Nurcholis admitted that he fell in love with Nurhidayah at first sight. At that time the wife worked for a community organization on the top floor of the shop.

After going through the taaruf process and receiving the blessing of both families, they finally married in 2006. At that time, Nurcholis was 22 years old, while Nurhidayah was 35 years old.
The striking age difference apparently invites questions and slanted views from the public. In a video recently uploaded to his TikTok account, Nurcholis was asked whether he was uncomfortable walking with his older wife.
" Brother, can I ask, I'm sorry, aren't you uncomfortable going out with your wife? " said Nurcholis, imitating a netizen's question, quoted from TikTok @oltha_mc, Thursday (1/8).
Nurcholis then answered with full confidence that he did not feel uncomfortable at all. He explained that feelings of discomfort were impossible after almost 19 years of marriage.
" It's definitely not uncomfortable, 18 years of marriage leading to 19 years, it's really uncomfortable, right? " he said.

Furthermore, Nurcholis stated that he believed his wife was the best chosen by Allah for him. According to him, during their marriage journey, there were many things that made them feel comfortable with each other.
" The wife that Allah chose for me is the best wife for sure, right? " he said.
" During the wedding journey, there are many things that ultimately make you feel comfortable ," he explained.
Nurcholis also emphasized that when the feeling of comfort is there, each other's shortcomings are not a big problem. He added that there is no need to feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or inferior when you are with your partner.
" When there is a feeling of comfort, automatically whatever the shortcomings of each other, both my wife and I, we are both comfortable walking together ," he said.
According to Nurcholis, the belief that our partner is the best soul mate from Allah is very important in marriage. He also emphasized the importance of having good intentions so that the marriage relationship runs well.
" The important thing is our intention, our intention is that everything goes well. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim ," he concluded.
