Brilio.net - The main function of a cupboard is to store various items so that they remain neat and protected from dust and dirt. Usually, cupboards are equipped with locks so that the doors remain tightly closed and the contents inside are safe.
If the cabinet key is damaged or lost, the cabinet door cannot be closed properly, which can interfere with the storage function. The common solution is to replace the key with a new one, but sometimes you don't have time to buy a replacement.
When faced with this condition, there is a creative way that can be tried to keep the cabinet locked without having to buy a new lock. As shared in the Fim2 Channel YouTube video, this solution utilizes used items that are easily found at home.
"Maybe some of you have experienced a cupboard door that cannot be closed properly because the lock is broken or you haven't had time to buy a new one. Here I have a simple but guaranteed very cool solution, watch the method," said the channel owner in his video.

This trick only requires a used gallon bottle cap that will later be turned into a cabinet lock. The tip of the bottle cap is cut off, then smoothed using sandpaper to make the result smoother.

After that, a small hole is made on the bottle cap and the cut end to install the screw. Four holes are made so that this tool can be installed firmly and not easily removed when used.

To make it look neater, the cut bottle caps can be painted first before use. The video owner chose black so that the final result looks more aesthetic and matches the color of the cabinet.
The bottle cap that is ready is then attached to the rope, then attached to the cabinet using screws. The installation position must be in the middle of the cabinet door so that this lock can function optimally.

Once everything is securely attached, the end of the bottle is cut in half so that it can function as a hook. This way, the cabinet door can be locked tightly by simply pulling and hooking the end of the bottle to the rope that has been installed.
"The result is very tight and can't be opened again. If you want to open it, just loosen the rope and unhook it, very practical and cool," explained the video owner.
