For the missiles, there would be four Paveway bombs and two Brimstone missiles which costs about £298,000 for each unit.

Brilio.net/en - The British Prime Minister yesterday asked parliament to support his plans to attack the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) through air strikes.

Britain declared their intention to participate the US-led coalition to storm ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Previously, such air strikes had also been launched by France and Russia.

David Cameron said the air strike is intended to hit the ISIS in the city of Raqqa and would be followed by the distribution of humanitarian aid to civilians.

British Parliament decided to support the plan by a voting. From the survey carried, most of the British people agreed the plan to raid ISIS through air strikes.

The poll held by YouGov revealed nearly 60 percent of the British people support the plan and about 15 percent disagree, and around 20 percent could not decide.

British air strikes to ISIS could be a representation of how much the cost the coalition needs in attacking the militant group.

According to the rough estimation done by Sky News, a six-hour air raid involving two Royal Air Force Tornados costs around 1 million. The number was obtained based on the data from the Ministry of Defence submitted to parliament in 2010.

A unit of Royal Air Force Tornado is capable of lasting anywhere between four and eight hours. The six-hour mission is estimated to cost around 210,000.

For the missiles, there would be four Paveway bombs and two Brimstone missiles which costs about 298,000 for each unit. So, in total 508,000 is required for a unit of tornado to launch this mission.

According to the calculation done by Ilmfeed shown on The Independent, Wednesday (2/12), the air strike is worth the salary for 20 teachers and 20 police officers. It is also equivalent to the wage of 20 paramedics, 19 nurses, 18 firefighters, and 18 junior doctors.

Even when compared with data from UNHCR, the money could be used to support around 1,530 refugee families in shelters.
