Brilio.net/en - Sugeng Siswoyudono might be a familiar figure for those who are in the know about the humanitarian field.
The man who comes from Mojokerto, East Java is arguably a hero for people who are disabled and those in need of prosthetics.
Sugeng, a prosthetic limbs producer who originally comes from Mojosari, Mojokerto became widely popular since he contributed to the Gerakan 1000 Kaki Palsu (The 1,000 Prosthetics Movement).
Im not running a business, its just my hobby. Ive started this kind of activity since 1995 for people out there who are in need, said Sugeng to brilio.net, Monday (17/8).

For the production, Sugeng admitted that he was assisted by his friends in his prosthetic workshop named Than Must Soegenk Mirtha Production. He found no difficulties in finding materials because he already has a partner who will readily supply and deliver the materials they need.
We need about 2-3 hours to finish a unit of prosthetics. If we receive 30 orders of prostetics in a day, we will finish them within the same day because we have workers on-site ready to produce, said the man who is called as Komendan (commander).
Currently, Komendan Sugengs prosthetic limbs have been spread from Sabang to Merauke, and are even available in Malaysia and Singapore.
Now, Sugeng has an institute named the Association of People with Physical Disabilities and Entrepreneurs (Paguyuban Penyandang Cacat Jasmani dan Wirausaha or shortened as P2CJDW) which is located in Mojokerto.
