Brilio.net - Many people today use the services of professional architects to design comfortable and functional homes. A home with a comfortable design can make its occupants feel at home spending time in it. In addition to focusing on building materials and design, homeowners also pay attention to choosing the right furniture to complete their homes.

Carpet is one of the important furniture elements in a house. This furniture is generally placed in the living room and family room as a complement to the interior. Carpets function as floor coverings that are usually arranged under tables and sofas to add aesthetic value to the room.

There are various types of materials used in making carpets such as cotton, nylon, and wool with different qualities. Regular maintenance is essential to clean the dust that sticks to the carpet so that it does not leave marks and is difficult to remove. Carpets are also often the target of accidents such as being hit by burning cigarette butts which can damage the surface.

It causes the carpet pile to burn and shrink. The burn marks make the carpet look less attractive and look unkempt. But don't worry, the burn marks can still be fixed without having to buy a new carpet.

As seen in a video on the TikTok account @fbbhouse0226. Brilio.net reported from the account, on Tuesday (8/4), the upload showed an easy trick to patch a carpet that had burn marks from cigarettes.

To do this, you need to prepare some tools and materials, such as an old toothbrush, scissors, glue gun, paper, and a thick book. First, clean the area of the carpet that has been burned using an old toothbrush. After that, cut off the remaining burned carpet fur.

To patch the burned carpet, cut the carpet surface next to it that has a similar color. Thinly cut the top of the carpet pile and place the result on the paper. After that, glue the hole in the carpet using a glue gun.

After that, patch it slowly with the previously cut carpet fur. Then brush it slowly using an old toothbrush so that the surface height is the same as the other carpet surface.

Use a thick enough book to make the carpet patch stick perfectly. As a result, the carpet that was previously holed after burning is intact again. The patch results also look natural because they use pieces of carpet fur with the same color.
