Brilio.net - A shocking story came from Yogyakarta. A young man who had only worked for two days at Indomaret Mantrijeron experienced a bitter incident when his mother's only legacy motorbike was stolen while he was at work. Ironically, the motorbike was still in the process of being paid for even though it had disappeared.
The case stole attention after going viral on social media. A Facebook user shared this heartbreaking story in the Info Cegatan Jogja group, trying to touch the heart of the thief. The post revealed that the victim was an orphan who is now confused about how to get to work without his vehicle.
The theft incident occurred on March 3, 2025 at Indomaret Mantrijeron. At that time, the victim who was working had to accept the bitter reality that his Honda Vario motorbike was no longer in the parking lot. Without a vehicle, he had to find another way to still be able to go to work. This incident sparked sympathy from many people after a netizen named Agus Wahyu uploaded his story on a Facebook group.
In his upload, Agus Wahyu wrote that the victim is now in a difficult situation. He emphasized that the perpetrator may have only wanted to fulfill his needs, but unknowingly stole the valuable property of an orphan.

"Please allow me, admin. I just want to touch the heart of the person who stole the Vario motorbike at Indomaret Mantrijeron on the night of 3. I know you are only fulfilling your living needs, but you don't know that the motorbike belongs to an orphan," wrote Agus Wahyu, quoted by brilio.net from Facebook Info Cegatan Jogja on Saturday (8/3).
The victim who lost his motorbike still has to pay the installments for the vehicle. However, he has no choice but to keep working to continue living. In fact, he is now confused about how he can go to work without the vehicle that was previously his mainstay.
"The only inheritance left by his late mother is still on credit and now she has to keep paying the credit even though her motorbike is gone, even though the child has only worked at Indomaret Mantrijeron for 2 days. Now she is confused about what she can do for work, even though her house is on Jalan Plered Banguntapan," he continued.

Unexpectedly, shortly after the upload went viral, an anonymous person claiming to be the perpetrator appeared in the same group. In his upload, he stated his intention to return the motorbike. However, he admitted that he was afraid that his identity would be known by the victim and local residents.
"Assalamualaikum, I would like to ask permission to post this. I happen to be the perpetrator who took the Vario with the plate AB 3108 TR at Indomaret Mantrijeron on the night of 3rd. I intend to return it, but I am afraid that my identity will be known by the victim and local residents," wrote an anonymous participant.
He felt guilty for the actions he had taken. However, he wanted to return the motorbike without having to meet the owner face to face. Therefore, he asked the victim to provide confirmation so that he could inform the location point where the motorbike would be left.

"If the owner of the motorbike wants it returned, please comment and I will tell you where the location is for me to store the Vario motorbike. I apologize in advance for the mistake that occurred," he said.
The story went viral and caught the attention of many people. Netizens commented on the post in hopes that the perpetrator would actually return the victim's vehicle. Not a few were also touched by the sad story of the motorbike owner.
However, many doubted the anonymous participant because he only wanted to cheat. Because, the young man's motorbike has not been returned until now.
"Cool, repentance is never too late," said @maulindafri.
"There is still faith in his heart," said @dati_qoonitah.
"The heart still has respect for the thief," said @heni_wulandari0210.
"But until now the motorbike has not been returned," said @yoellypuspita.
