This year's Christmas has the theme "Come Now, Let Us Go to Bethlehem," which carries a deep message about loyalty and willingness to follow God's call. According to Nasaruddin, this theme is in line with the Ministry of Religion's mission to encourage people to practice their religious teachings. He believes that the more people understand and appreciate religious teachings, the world will become a more peaceful and harmonious place.
On the other hand, Nasaruddin reminded that the distance between people and their religious teachings could potentially create damage, both to humans and the environment. Therefore, he again invited the public to use the 2024 Christmas celebration as an event to strengthen the spirit of love.
"Love will bring peace and harmony which are prerequisites for development. This is a great contribution of religious people to the progress of Indonesia," he said.
