They say that sunlight can remove stubborn turmeric stains on the surface of the blender. Is that true?

Brilio.net - Using turmeric in cooking often brings its own challenges, especially when using a blender to process spices. Turmeric, with its distinctive bright yellow color, easily sticks to the surface of the blender and leaves stains that are difficult to remove. These turmeric stains can damage the appearance of the blender and have the potential to contaminate the color and taste of food.

Turmeric stains on your blender arent just aesthetically pleasing, they can also be a sign that your blender isnt completely clean. Turmeric contains curcumin, a compound responsible for its strong yellow color and stubborn coloring properties. After being used to process turmeric, this curcumin residue can stick to the plastic and other surfaces of your blender, leaving permanent stains if not cleaned properly right away.

To overcome this problem there are several effective ways that can be done. Some people usually dry it in the sun for hours. After investigating, this sunlight can lift stubborn stains from turmeric on the surface of the blender.

But instead of waiting for hours, you can actually remove these turmeric stains in 5 minutes. An Instagram user @indah3yani once shared a simple trick to clean turmeric stains on a blender so that they disappear in 5 minutes. In one of the videos uploaded, she admitted to only using simple ingredients that are at home.

As reported by brilio.net from Instagram @indah3yani on Tuesday (31/12), the cleaning agent used is toothpaste. However, before cleaning with toothpaste, the blender also needs to be soaked first. It doesn't take long, this soaking process only takes 5 minutes.

To be more precise, prepare boiling hot water. Then pour it into the yellow part of the blender. After that, soak it for about 5 minutes only. If the yellow turmeric crust is very thick and stubborn, you can soak it longer.

After soaking, then apply toothpaste to all yellow parts of the blender. You can use used toothpaste to apply it. Then while applying, scrub with a brush until all the turmeric stains are completely removed.

Once brushed, then rinse with running water. You can rub the surface of the blender with your hands to remove any remaining toothpaste and yellow crust that is still attached. Once clean, dry with a cloth before the blender is ready to be used again.
