A New 'Jailangkung' Movie Is Set To Haunt Your Theater This Eid

We'll see if this movie can deliver the same creepy stuff we watched years ago.

Remember when Jose Purnomo and Rizal Mantovani's Jelangkung (The Uninvited) or Dimas Djayadiningrat's Tusuk Jelangkung make you scream out loudas a kid? Well, those two are indeed gold, but here we are at a trend of remaking classics, let's say 'Ini Kisah Tiga Dara', 'Warkop DKI Reborn' or 'Kartini'.

This year, Jose and Rizal are back to direct 'Jelangkung Reborn' or simply 'Jailangkung'.

The movie will start with a brand-new plot, following the story of three daughters who want to uncover the mystery lingering on their father. A dark secret from the past soon began to crawl up and haunt them after they discovered the 'doll'.

Jailangkung will feature Amanda Rawles, Hannah Al Rasyid, Gabriella Quinlyn, Jefri Nichol, Lukman Sardi and is scheduled to release on June 25. Yes, you read it right. It's on this year's Eid.
