Who cares if it's not an official movie?

When everyone seems busy with the 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' sequel script completion, a group of fans came up with an evenly-matched idea for expanding the Harry Potter universe by filming an origin story on their own: 'Voldemort: Origins of the Heir'.

Yes, you read that right. Voldy finally gets the complete back story he deserves.

Tryangle Films has released the debut teaser of the fan-made project inspired by the sixth Harry Potter novel, rotating on how Tom Marvolo Riddle a.k.a Lord Voldemort gathered the Horcruxes and became "He Who Must Not Be Named". The footage also uncovers the appearance of Grisha Mac Laggen, a Griffindor heir and an original character to this film who suspected a dark magic involvement in a Hufflepuff descendant's murder case.

The production company launched a Kickstarer appeal last year to fund the film as well as an agreement with Warner Bros, but the project was shut down by Warner Bros for copyright infringement.

The film makers said that the dispute has been settled and'Voldemort: Origins of the Heir' is set tobe released on YouTube this October.

They are currently opening a donation page to support the project. You can find it here.

Well, Potterheads, you know what to do.
