Doctor Reisa Broto Asmoro caused a stir among the public after appearing to accompany Achmad Yurianto at a press conference on developments in handling Covid-19 in Indonesia on Monday (8/6). Not without reason, apparently Doctor Reisa was officially appointed by the government as spokesperson for the Public Communication Team for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 in Indonesia.
The appearance of this doctor with the title Kanjeng Mas Ayu Tumenggung immediately became a trending topic on Indonesian Twitter. His presence was warmly welcomed by the public because he was considered to give a new color to the Task Force Team. Doctor Reisa is tasked with providing education regarding the ins and outs and prevention of Covid-19 to the public.
His selection as spokesperson was of course not only based on his popularity, but also his achievements as a doctor which cannot be doubted.
Just to note, Reisa once worked in the forensics section of the Raden Said Soekanto Police Hospital. She also received the title as Miss Indonesia for the Environment 2010.
