Many people think fruits are the best food to eat for diet while in fact, it is not always as it seems.

Some fruits have high sugar content that will only make you gain more calories and later, fat. It is important for you to know which fruits have low sugar and are good to help you lose weight.

So, which fruits are the best for diet?

There some low-sugar fruits you can consume to help you lose weight and control your blood sugar. You also do not need to worry about your nutrition need since they contain numbers of important nutrition such as protein and fiber. Here are five of those:

1. Berries

Strawberry, raspberry and blackberry are low-sugar fruits. The average sugar content in these fruits per 150 grams is only 4 to 7 grams. They are also rich in antioxidant and vitamin C, so they will affect your skin and digestion system well.

However, you shall limit your blueberry intake since it has the highest amount of sugar content among other berries. Blueberry has around 15 grams per 150 grams.

2. Watermelon

The water content in watermelon reaches 90% which is why this fruit is really awesome to consume during a hot afternoon. Besides, watermelon is mostly recommended by health experts for those who want to lose weight. Not only that it is rich in water, watermelon also can increase bodys metabolism. A cup full of watermelon sliced into dices only contains lower than 10 grams of sugar content.

3. Avocado

A lot of people do not realize that avocado is one of low-sugar fruits even though it has high healthy fats.

4. Kiwi

Not only that it has high amount of vitamin C, it also has low-sugar content. One kiwi only has six grams of sugar content and it has antioxidant that can help your body fight against infection and free radicals.

5. Lemon and key lime

Compared to orange, lemon and key lime have lower sugar content which is only 1 to 2 grams of sugar for one medium size fruit. These two fruits are also good to be mixed into drink to decrease your appetite.
