Brilio.net - Due to frequent use, scissors can become dull over time. The blade is usually rusty so it cannot be used optimally. Finding out that they were dull, a number of people immediately replaced the scissors with new ones.
However, scissors that are already dull can actually be sharpened again. To do this, just rub the blade on the scissors with sandpaper. After repeated rubbing, the blade returned to sharpness like new again .
But there's no need to worry if you don't have sandpaper, because there are other ways you can use to re-sharpen scissors. The method was demonstrated by Instagram user @melizah21.
Reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @melizah21 on Monday (17/6), put the scissors in the container. Then pour in one kitchen ingredient, namely vinegar. Turn the scissors back and forth so that both blades are evenly exposed to the vinegar.

For maximum cleanliness, he also added another kitchen ingredient, namely baking soda. So, the two kitchen ingredients used are vinegar and baking soda. If so, soak the scissors for 15 minutes so that the cleaning solution works optimally.

After soaking for 15 minutes, take the scissors. Scrub the blade with an old toothbrush. Without extra effort, the rust stains on the scissor blades fade by themselves.
Reporting from thespruce.com, the sodium bicarbonate content in baking soda and the acetic acid in vinegar are opposite to each other. Produces small bubbles, removes all kinds of stubborn dirt.

Then rinse the scissors with running water. Don't forget to rub it with your hands to make sure there are no rust stains or cleaning solution left.

As a result, the scissors shine like new again, right?
