After investigating, this trick is really simple, because it doesn't require media such as rice or sticks at all. So, you can just place an avocado you just bought on the market that is not yet ripe on the floor, you don't need a base at all.

Leave the avocado on the floor for a few days until the skin turns black. If that's the case, you can eat the avocado straight away or store it in the refrigerator before enjoying it.
