Brilio.net - Towels are used many times to dry wet body parts. This makes the towels become damp easily. Of course, damp and wet areas are favorite places for germs and bacteria to breed. It's not surprising that towels are one of the items that must be washed regularly so that they remain hygienic when used.
However, towels that are used too often and have been washed repeatedly still have the potential to become dirty, you know. Residue from detergent that is not completely removed will usually leave a residue. This is then made worse by the condition of the towels being damp and dirty.
If left like that, towels can change their appearance. If previously the towels were bright white, these dirty stains can make the towels turn black and really look dull. Well, towels like this are certainly less comfortable if used to dry the body.
To overcome this, some people usually wash towels in a special way. One way is to use baking soda or bleach. These two ingredients are considered to be able to make towels cleaner and brighter as before.
However, if you don't have baking soda in stock or are worried about using bleach, don't worry, there are other ingredients you can use. Well, this material was used by YouTube user Rumah Ummaji through one of the uploaded videos. Instead of using bleach, he just relies on detergent and kitchen ingredients.
Reported by BrilioFood on Tuesday (6/2), the kitchen ingredient used was dishwashing soap. So later, detergent and dish soap will be used as the main cleaner. Well, in the video, he also admits to adding another ingredient, namely citrus.
How to use a number of these ingredients is very easy. First, place the towels in the sheet bucket. Then sprinkle 1 packet of citrus evenly. Then pour in 1 small packet of liquid detergent. This type of detergent can be adjusted to the stock you have at home, yes. If you have powdered detergent, that can be used too.

Next, add just enough dish soap. Only then pour hot water (which is really boiling). Make sure the towel is completely submerged, OK? If so, stir it using a tool so that all the ingredients can penetrate further into the fabric fibers.

After that, soak the towel for 2 hours. If so, take a towel and scrub using a brush. Or you can also put it in the washing machine. Then after brushing, rinse with running water and dry on a towel until dry.

Well, this dry towel looks cleaner. The appearance is also whiter and shinier than before. This indicates that the mixture of ingredients is very effective in dealing with dirty towels.

However, please note that this method should not be used every time you wash towels. Through the same video, YouTube user Rumah Ummaji explains that using hot water can damage fabric fibers if used too often. Apart from being damaged, the fabric can also rot quickly and fade in color.
"This can be done once every 1-2 months or if you think the towels are starting to get dirty, so this can be done. It can't be done every day, right? It's a shame for the fabric, I'm afraid it will quickly get damaged," explained YouTube Rumah Ummaji.
