Brilio.net - Catfish is a type of freshwater fish that is popular for consumption because of its soft and savory meat. In addition, this fish is rich in nutrients such as protein, vitamins, and minerals. Generally, catfish is processed by frying, resulting in a soft inside and a crispy outside.
To add crispiness, catfish is usually coated with flour. However, there are other ingredients that are more effective in making fried catfish crispier. This ingredient is used by netizens with the YouTube account Jarle Kul, who shares a simple trick for frying catfish so that the texture is crispy to the bone.

Before ready to fry, the first thing to do is to wash the catfish thoroughly. Reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Jarle Kul on Tuesday (6/8), simply rinse the catfish under running water while rubbing it until the mucus is gone. Don't forget to also clean the tip of the head and the filling of the catfish.

Once done, cut the catfish meat on the back. Once it is open, continue cutting until the meat and bones are split in two (but not until they break). Do this process on both sides of the catfish bones using a really sharp knife. Now, the catfish that has been split can be immediately set aside first.
"So that the spices are perfectly absorbed. Then when fried, the bones can be eaten," said YouTube user Jarle Kul.

Next, puree 5 cloves of garlic, 5 cm of ginger, 1 tbsp of salt, and 1 tbsp of flavoring. Then mix the spices with the catfish. After that, add 300 ml of boiled water. Stir and marinate the catfish for 30 minutes.

Once marinated, drain and fry the catfish in plenty of hot oil. Make sure the catfish is completely submerged in oil. Then fry over high heat while covering the pan. After 10 minutes, turn the catfish over and fry briefly for about 3 minutes to make it crispier. Once cooked, remove and drain the catfish.

In addition to being crispy, catfish processed in this way tends to be delicious and not fishy, you know. All parts of the catfish, from the meat, bones, tail, and head of the catfish are really crispy, so they can be consumed.
