Brilio.net - One sign of aging that is quite disturbing to your appearance is the growth of gray hair. Gray hair is indeed one of the signs of aging which indicates that a person is starting to enter old age. The reason is, as a person ages, the production of the melanin component in the hair follicles will also decrease.

Decreased melanin levels will prevent the growing hair from getting full pigment. Well, strands of hair that don't get this pigment will become grayish white. It's not surprising that as a person gets older, the more hair will turn white.

But it turns out that gray hair can also grow faster, it can even be experienced by someone who is still relatively young or a teenager. Not without reason, this condition is caused by several factors, such as genetics, hormonal changes, the effects of stress, styling hair too often using heating tools and chemical polish, using haircare that is not suitable or too harsh, and an unhealthy lifestyle.

This condition of white hair growing faster is called premature graying. Apart from reducing self-confidence, gray hair on the head can also disturb comfort. The reason is, not infrequently strands of gray hair can also cause itching. It's not surprising that many people are looking for ways to blacken gray hair . Starting from polishing at the salon to using natural ingredients.

Polishing at the salon is an effective solution for blackening or disguising the appearance of gray hair. But unfortunately, having your hair colored at the salon too often will actually damage your hair's health.

Not many people know that potato skins can be used as a hair care ingredient. One of the benefits of potato skin for hair is to restore the appearance of gray hair to make it darker. Reporting from herzindagi, potato skin contains an enzyme called polyphenol oxidase or tyrosinase, iron, zinc, copper, calcium, potassium, niacin and magnesium which are useful for blackening hair and reducing the appearance of gray hair.

Benefits of black tea to blacken gray hair

Black tea is a beverage ingredient that can increase the production of melanin and keratin in hair strands. It's not surprising that this natural ingredient is able to restore hair's natural pigment. Apart from that, this tea is also effective in covering gray hair that has grown. Black tea is also rich in tannins which are claimed to be effective in stopping the production of the DHT hormone which is known to cause hair loss.
