Brilio.net - An unpleasant fate befell Asniani. This 60 year old retired teacher has to deal with the state regarding the salary he received while teaching.
Reported by brilio.net from dream.co.id, Tuesday (2/7), the Muaro Jambi Regency DPRD summoned Asniani, a teacher at the Sungai Bertam State Kindergarten , Jaluko District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This was the result of Asniani being asked to return around IDR 75 million in state money.
Together with her children and grandchildren, Asniani attended the hearing with Commission I of the Muaro Jambi Regency DPRD.
Today we discuss the viral news that has been circulating so far. "We deliberately invited them to be clear and clean," said Chairman of Commission I, Ulil Amri, quoted from dream, Tuesday (2/7).
This complaint began when the 60 year old teacher complained about his fate, because the state, through the Muaro Jambi Regency Government, asked him to return Rp. 75,016,700.
The relatively large funds were his salary and allowances for the last two years he taught. According to information, Asniani was supposed to retire at the age of 58, but he received a salary until he was 60 years old.
Asniani also admitted that he did not know that at 58 years old he would have to retire. The woman also said that even though she received the money, for 2 years she continued to teach and carry out her duties properly. He also admitted that he had never been told by anyone that the retirement age for a teacher was 58 years.
"I asked Taspen, people there said the retirement age for teachers is 60 years," said Asniani, Thursday, June 13 2024.
In 2023, before coming to Taspen, Asniani had already processed her retirement file at BKD Muaro Jambi. However, the BKD did not respond until 2024.
Until several months ago, when he intended to ask BKD about the files that had been submitted, Asniani received information that he had to return funds amounting to IDR 75,016,700 to the state.
"For two years, I taught and was absent as usual and received my usual salary, including salary 13," he said.
Asniani protested that if he had to retire at the age of 58, then the department should have stopped his salary and allowances earlier.
"If my retirement was 58, I should have stopped my salary right then and told me to stop teaching," he continued.
Regarding this matter, Asniani stated that he was unable to pay the amount of money submitted by the Muaro Jambi Regency government.
"Even though I have to return the funds, what about my work for those 2 years? This is not entirely my fault, but also the fault of the Muaro Jambi Regency government. If indeed I retired at the age of 58, it should have been when I took care of the paperwork for retirement that "In 2023, I was told that I had retired, but it took up to 2 years," said Asniani.
On the other hand, Muaro Jambi Regional Secretary, Budhi Hartono, confirmed the BPK's findings regarding the case of excess salaries for retired teachers. However, Budhi claims that this case was pure negligence on the part of the teacher, Asniani.
"The results of the BPK investigation show that in 2023 Muaro Jambi was found to have overpaid the salary of a teacher who taught at the Sungai Bertam state kindergarten by approximately IDR 75 million," said Budhi.
He explained that this case occurred due to negligence in managing his retirement until he received a decree. According to him, the person concerned should have taken care of his retirement in 2021.
However, due to his negligence, the teacher only took care of his retirement in 2023.
"We don't know what caused the teacher's negligence," said Budhi.
Meanwhile, according to information from the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD), Asniani will only be taking care of his retirement in October 2023. At that time, the BKD has asked that the teacher complete the missing files submitted. But Asniani is accused of only coming to BKD again in April 2024.
"Because it was late, there were consequences and it was pure negligence on the part of the teacher. There is a statement letter from the teacher regarding his negligence," said Budhi.
