As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @aaron_laksana on Monday (9/9), the trick is to cook the coconut milk first. Well, using cooked coconut milk will make the uduk rice more sticky even though the rice is not soaked first. In addition, the uduk rice will also last longer.

To be more precise, prepare a pot or pan. Then put 30 grams of sliced galangal and 6 bay leaves into the pan. After that, pour 250 ml of packaged thick coconut milk and mix with 600 ml of water. Add 10 grams of salt, 2 stalks of crushed lemongrass, and pandan leaves.

Then turn on the stove and cook the coconut milk while stirring. Do this process continuously until it really boils so that the coconut milk does not split. If it is not cooked until it boils, the resulting uduk rice can be hard later.

Next, prepare 800 grams of rice and wash it thoroughly. After that, put it in a rice cooker or inner pot. If the coconut milk is cooked and boiling, pour it into the inner pot. Then stir and cook the rice as usual using a rice cooker.
