First of all, prepare the sweet corn kernels. Iput said, this corn will produce better results if it is steamed first for a while before being mixed with the dough ingredients. Because, the corn tends to be hard after being fried later if it is not steamed first.

"If you want the corn to be softer, steam it briefly before frying it, guys. In my opinion, if you use raw corn, the result will be tough, but it all comes down to taste," explained Iput.

After steaming for a while, mix the corn kernels with the ground spices, sliced spring onions, salt, pepper, sugar, or other fritter fillings according to taste. Then, stir until all the ingredients are evenly mixed.

Next, add enough rice flour. Well, this rice flour is said to be one of the keys to the long-lasting crispy texture of corn fritters after frying compared to using wheat flour. After that, add one more ingredient to make the fritter dough crispy, namely eggs. Then, pour in enough water and stir until all the dough is evenly mixed.

Iput also has one more trick to make the fried corn bakwan taste better, namely adding 1 tablespoon of ground red chili. Not only does it make the corn bakwan taste better, but the ground red chili is also useful for making the color of the corn bakwan more beautiful, you know. Finally, stir again until the mixture is completely smooth.

When the dough is ready, just heat enough oil in a frying pan. The fritter dough must be put into really hot oil so that the results can be maximally crispy. Flip the corn fritters and wait until the color is golden brown. Then, remove and drain the corn fritters before serving.
