Brilio.net - Tofu is often served as a daily side dish with rice, either as a side dish or vegetable. The variations of tofu dishes are very diverse, so they don't get boring quickly. For example, there are stir-fried tofu, salted chili tofu, tofu in coconut milk sauce, egg tofu, tofu martabak, or the simplest, fried tofu.
Fried tofu is indeed a mainstay for many people, especially mothers who regularly cook at home. In addition to being delicious and simple, fried tofu is also filling. According to bbcgoodfood.com, tofu contains amino acids, one of the benefits of which is keeping the stomach full longer.
However, even though it has been washed and fried until cooked, sometimes tofu still has a sour taste. For some people, the sour taste of fried tofu is not a problem. However, there are also those who do not like it, so they tend to avoid this fried tofu dish. Don't worry, there is one trick to frying tofu so that it is no longer sour.
This trick was shared by a netizen familiarly called Beny via an upload on his personal YouTube. First, heat the oil to fry the tofu on a teflon or frying pan. When the oil is hot, put in the tofu that you want to fry one by one. Wait until the bottom is slightly browned first, then the tofu can be flipped.

After flipping, wait again until the tofu is browned overall. Then, if it is, press the tofu one by one using a spatula so that the water content inside comes out. Continue pressing for a few moments while flipping the tofu until it is perfectly cooked.
"It is the water that can cause the tofu to be sour," explained Beny, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube BENY ALZ on Thursday (7/11).
