Brilio.net - Modern rice cookers have undergone many developments. One of them is the ability to cook rice with healthier results, namely low carbohydrates. Several types of sophisticated rice cookers are now equipped with special technology that can reduce carbohydrate levels in rice, making it an ideal choice for those who want to maintain a low-carb diet or have certain health conditions. This innovation not only maintains the taste and texture of delicious rice, but also helps control blood sugar intake.
This modern rice cooker works by separating the starch that dissolves in water during the cooking process. Through this method, some of the carbohydrates can be removed along with the remaining cooking water, resulting in rice that is lower in carbohydrates. This technology is very useful for diabetics or those who want to reduce their calorie intake without having to sacrifice the pleasure of eating rice.
Unfortunately, of course not everyone has this modern rice cooker. However, that doesn't mean you can't cook low-carb rice. A YouTube user, Endang Mengge, once shared a trick for cooking rice so that the results are healthier and lower in carbohydrates.

As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Endang Mengge on Monday (14/10), the netizen admitted to only relying on a steamer. However, he also prepared a special strainer for cooking rice that is full of holes on each side. If you don't have one, you can use a rice steamer.
"If you don't have a rice steamer, the main thing is a tool that has holes on the edges and bottom," said YouTuber Endang Mengge.

Now, put the rice into the sieve. Then wash it clean and smooth the surface. If so, put it into a steamer or pan that is wider and larger than the sieve.
After that, pour water into the pan. If generally, the water used is only a handful, then this method requires water as high as two finger joints. According to YouTube user Endang Mengge, this water measurement can also be slightly increased.

Next, cook until the water boils. When it boils, reduce the water to a finger-thick level. Then lift the strainer and drain the water in the aron rice. Now, throw away the rice water used to cook the rice. This is what will make the rice lower in carbohydrates.

Once done, fill the pot or steamer with new water and boil it. Then add the aron rice and steam until cooked. Well, cooked rice is healthier. Not only that, the texture is also soft, making it more appetizing when consumed.
