Brilio.net - White mukena with its clean and pure appearance, is the choice of many women for worship. However, mukena with this white color is also difficult to care for. One common problem that is often faced is that white mukena easily gets moldy and dirty. Mold and dirt stains not only damage the appearance, but can also reduce comfort when used.

The main factor that causes white mukena to easily get moldy is moisture. Mukena that is not dried properly after washing or stored in a damp place will be an ideal place for mold to grow. This mold can cause black or gray stains that are difficult to remove, and if not treated quickly, can permanently damage the fabric fibers. In addition, white mukena is also very susceptible to dirt stains from dust, sweat, and skin oil, which makes it look dirty quickly if not cleaned properly.

To keep the white mukena clean and free of mold, proper care is essential. Make sure the mukena is always washed with a mild detergent and dried in the sun until completely dry before storing. Store the mukena in a dry place and provide good air circulation to prevent excess moisture.

But if the mold stains still don't go away after washing, you need to clean them with a special trick. Luckily, Instagram user @bundacaca239 once shared a special trick to remove mold and dirt stains on white mukena. Through one of the videos uploaded, she even admitted to relying on two kitchen ingredients.

As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @bundacaca239 on Monday (12/16), the kitchen ingredients in question are baking soda and dishwashing soap. Well, these two ingredients will be even more effective in removing stains with a mixture of citric acid. So all of these ingredients only need to be mixed together in a large basin or bucket.

After all the ingredients are put in, pour boiling hot water into the bucket. Then stir until all the ingredients are dissolved. Then put the white mukena into it. Make sure the part affected by mold and dirt is completely submerged. Then let it sit for about 1 hour.

When used with baking soda, dish soap helps dissolve the remaining mold and dirt that has been lifted by the baking soda. This combination works synergistically to thoroughly clean the white mukena, restoring its purity and cleanliness without damaging the fabric. In this way, mold and dirt stains can be effectively removed, leaving the white mukena clean and comfortable to use.

Well, after soaking, rub the mukena using your hands. Don't worry, the previously stubborn mold stains will immediately fade after being rubbed. So, you don't need to scrub it with a strong brush. Then if it's clean, rinse it immediately using running water.

The last step, dry the mukena until dry. It is better not to dry it directly under the sun because the mukena can turn yellow later. Just air it until dry. That way, the dried mukena will look brighter and whiter again.
