Brilio.net - Cleaning the stove is an important routine activity. This is because cooking activities can make the stove and its various components dirty. Therefore, cleaning the stove after cooking is very important so that its performance remains optimal.

One part of the stove that is prone to dirt is the burner. This component is shaped like a round disc that emits fire when the stove is turned on. The burner functions as a place where gas and oxygen meet to produce fire.

Stove burners are generally made of durable brass, with a golden yellow color. However, over time, the burner color can turn black due to constant exposure to fire.

Often, stove burners are neglected by their users. As a result, burners that are not cleaned can become black or even rusty. If left unchecked, these black stains and rust can clog the burner holes, so that the stove fire cannot come out optimally.

Many people are looking for ways to clean blackened burners. Some people choose to use special ingredients such as citric acid. Usually, the burner is soaked in hot water mixed with citric acid, which is believed to be able to remove black stains and rust.

However, citric acid can be a tricky item to find. Not all grocery stores or supermarkets carry it. Therefore, many people choose to use other ingredients and methods.

One YouTube user with a channel named polyztron once shared a simple tutorial on cleaning his stove burner. Instead of using citric acid or a special liquid, he chose kitchen ingredients as the cleaner. As reported by BrilioFood on Sunday (10/11), the kitchen ingredient used was table vinegar.

First, prepare a container. Then pour water into it and mix it with a few drops of vinegar. If so, you can immediately insert the stove burner into the vinegar solution. Make sure all parts of the stove burner are completely submerged.

Once done, let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Basically, vinegar has a high acid content. This acid content can remove black stains and rust on the stove burner.

After soaking in vinegar, immediately lift and scrub the burner using a brush. In the video, he claims to use a clothes brush. But you can use another type of brush that has rough bristles. Because that way, the stain can be removed immediately in one rub.

While scrubbing, you can also dip the burner into the vinegar solution. Repeat this process until the burner is completely clean. Finally, rinse under running water and dry the stove burner before reinstalling it.

"The burner also returned to its original color, when we first bought it," said YouTube polyztron.
