Brilio.net - A blender is a kitchen tool that functions to smooth various types of food ingredients easily. Its operation is very simple, only requiring one button to activate it, and the smoothing process occurs automatically when the blender is turned on.
The blender design is equipped with 2-5 propeller-shaped blades that rotate at high speed. This rotation produces a chopping motion on the food, so that the ingredients become smooth evenly. However, continuous use of the blender can cause the blades to become dull, reducing their effectiveness in chopping ingredients.
To keep the blade sharp and optimal, regular maintenance is needed. Sharpening the blade can be done in simple ways, such as using coarse salt and eggshells as natural sharpening agents. A content creator on YouTube, Amnaifa Channel, shows that with proper care, a blender blade can last for years without the need for special sharpening.
"This is a blender blade that hasn't been sharpened for years. Because it's used often, it causes dirt and crust on the blade," explained YouTube Amnaifa Channel, quoted by brilio.net on Tuesday (11/2).
Through the video uploaded earlier, Amnaifa also revealed a simple way to sharpen and clean the blade. Who would have thought, she only used simple materials and tools, namely toothpaste and sandpaper.
So before sharpening, make sure the blender blade is separated from the glass and the machine, okay? After that, the blender blade must be cleaned first from scale and dirt. The method is, rinse the blender blade with water, then apply the toothpaste to the crusty part on the blade.

Next, smooth the toothpaste. After that, scrub the blender blade using a wire brush. If it is clean and free of scale, immediately rinse the blender blade with water. Then wipe it dry using a tissue.

Now, to sharpen the blender blade, you can use small sandpaper size 800. Simply rub the blade using sandpaper from top to bottom. Repeat this sharpening process until the blade is sharp.

When sharpening, adjust to the number of blades on the blender. In the video, there are four blades in one blender. That way, Amnaifa repeats the sharpening process on the four blades.

For the final step, rinse the blade again with water. Then dry it using a tissue or clean cloth. This will help remove any remaining sandpaper crumbs that were previously stuck to the blade. That way, the blender blade can be reinstalled in the machine and is ready to be used again.
"Well, the blender blades are like new again. Shiny, shiny, and the blades are very sharp," said YouTube user Amnaifa Channel.
