Brilio.net - Street musicians are generally known to use cans or hats as containers for collecting money. However, along with the rapid development of technology, the world of street musicians has also changed. If in the past they only relied on small change given by pedestrians or drivers, now digital payment methods such as QRIS are starting to be used as an alternative.
The use of the QRIS method certainly makes people unable to use the excuse of not having small change when they want to avoid buskers. As experienced by a man named Rijal. Through a video he uploaded on his personal TikTok account, Rijal shared his experience when he met a busker who used QRIS to ask for visitors' tips .

In the video, Rijal is seen sitting relaxed while holding a smartphone and a cigarette in his hand while enjoying a meal at one of the restaurants in the Jakarta area. Not long after, two buskers came and sang songs while approaching the visitors around, including Rijal. The arrival of the buskers was warmly welcomed by the visitors who seemed to enjoy the songs they sang.
Like most buskers, they began asking for voluntary money from the listeners at the venue. With the song still playing, one of the buskers appeared to bow while holding out a pocket for money. Uniquely, on the outside of the pocket was a barcode for the QRIS payment method.
" Crazy, in Jakarta, buskers can use Qris ," he wrote.

Not long after, Rijal took out his cellphone and scanned the QRIS barcode hanging on the busker's plastic bag. This is very rare and made the moment go viral in cyberspace. Not only because of the anti-mainstream way of giving, but also because of the use of modern technology among street buskers.
"Thank you very much to the audience, I will take my leave. Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh," said the busker.

The innovations made by the buskers certainly mean that people can no longer use the excuse of not having small change to avoid buskers. The video upload finally sparked comments from netizens. Some said that there was no reason not to give to the buskers. Some also said that the turnover earned by the buskers could reach 2 digits.
" Crazy, how much do buskers earn? As far as I know, Qris has a minimum income, " said the account @Lip.
" Me: sorry sir, I don't have cash, busker: can use qris sir ," wrote the account @felix artezzy.
" It's a headache like this, there's no longer any reason not to give ," said the account @maulana_c.
" It's fixed, I can't manage to say 'sorry, I don't have any change' ," wrote the account @Dapp.
" My regular meatball seller hasn't used Qris yet and has already lost to the street vendor, " said the account @mayaa_isyah
