The official website of telecommunication company Telkomsel has been defaced this morning. The hacker or hackers, we don't know wrote down a complaint urgingthe company to improve its service and lower its internet fees.

The hacker complained Telkomsel's internet fees as he/she considers it to be overpriced. The message also expressed the hacker's disappoinment in Telkomsel for selling quotas for so many networks, 2G, 3G and 4G as well as its bundling program such as streaming services HOOQ and VIU.
The most affordable internet plan offered by the company is Flash offering 1GB internet data with 2GB midnight quota from 00.00 to 07.00 and free access to HOOQ and VIU for 30 days which costs Rp 47,500. Kartu Halo is Telkomsel'sthe least affordable card, with its internet packages costingaroundRp 300,000 per month.
The hacker is not alone with his/her frustration over the high internet fees.Some Twitter usersvoicedsimilar protest while thanking the hacker.

The company have apologizedfor the inconvenience in accessing their website, through a note broadcasted to the media.
"We are currently tracking and restoring the system to enable customers and people to access the website immediately," said Adita Irawati, Telkomsel Vice President Corporate Communication in a brief statement to the press.
In a further release, Irawati expressed her appreciation to the complaint as she also stressed that the protest means their products are used by wide community of people.
Irawati explained that the fees are based on the quality so that customers can use broadband services wherever they are. "In setting the fee, we referto the network cost component, including for the international bandwith access," she said. Therefore, they offered a wide selection of internet plans to customers, with a variety of price options.
Currently, Telkomsel service serves 95 percent of the Indonesian population across the country.
Telkomsel's 4G service is present in around 500 capitals/districs with up to169 million users around50 percent of them are listed as 3G/4G subscribers.
