West Java Gubernatorial Election is coming next year and several big names have been reported to become candidatesto be the governor of the most populous province in Indonesia.

Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil is one of the biggest names running for the post. He has openly announced his candidacy and National Democratic Party (NasDem) has agreedto endorse him, despite Ridwan is not the party's cadre.

There is also Purwakarta Regent Dedi Mulyadi, the new media sweetheart who is going to run for the election with Hanura and Golkar endorsinghis candidacy.

Besides Ridwan and Dedi, there are also other new names emerged from PAN this week. They are former actress and current member of the House of Representatives (DPR) Desy Ratnasari and Bogor Mayor Bima Arya.

However, PAN said they're stillconsidering the option of backingother external candidates, including Ridwan Kamil, Dedi Mulyadi and Deddy Mizwar who might have bigger chance to win the race.

I am personally ready if they ask me to be whatever, including to be paired with Kang Emil, said Desy Ratnasari to Viva.co.id recently regarding the rumor.

PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan stated there would be other meetings required to make the final decision. Later, we would have a meeting in West Java. We would ask community organizations, NU, and Muhammadiyah. I also want to meet MUI and other organizations," he said.

The election is set to be conducted in June 2018.
