A TikTok user, @vi.raw, shared her experience using simple ingredients from her kitchen to whiten yellowed clothes.
As reported by brilio.net on Tuesday (2/18), the TikTok user relies on MSG . So that her white clothes can be clean again and free of yellow stains, she uses 2 sachets of MSG measuring 18 grams. This MSG is simply put into a large bucket (which will be used to soak clothes).

After being given MSG, add hot water and liquid detergent to taste. If so, add cold water so that the water temperature is warmer. Then stir all the ingredients until evenly mixed.

Next, put in the clothes to be washed. Make sure the clothes are completely submerged. Then let the clothes soak in a mixture of warm water, detergent, and MSG for 10-15 minutes so that the yellow stains can be lifted.

Once soaked, immediately rub and wash the clothes as usual. After that, rinse until the remaining soap and MSG are gone. Then, hang the clothes to dry completely.
After the clothes were dry, TikTok user @vi.raw showed the results of the washed clothes. And sure enough, the yellow stains that previously stained the clothes were gone. The washed clothes were also white again like new. This indicates that MSG can be effective in whitening yellowed clothes.
