Brilio.net/en - Chief of Indonesia's Creative Economy Bureau, Triawan Munaf has recently revealed that Pixar Animation studios may be interested in exploring about Indonesian folklores to perhaps get inspiration for future film productions. This statement was made after Munaf met with Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios' Chief Creative Officer, John Lasseter at Silicon Valley, United States, back in 29 October 2015.
"The next step for the Creative Economy Bureau is to curate and select specific stories that will be forwarded to Pixar," said Munaf on Monday, 2 November 2015.
He also mentioned that the Creative Economy Bureau would also like to push forward a few Indonesian animators to be involved with the forthcoming production. This is done in order to spur on Indonesia's animation and film sector towards Hollywood standards. "This is a chance for Indonesia -who is rich in cultural diversity- to show the world what our country can offer," said Munaf.
On average, a single Pixar-produced film will take four to five years of production.
Pixar was co-founded by Ed Catamull, George Lucas, Steve Jobs, and John Lasseter back in 1986.
