To cope with the hot weather, most people choose to use air conditioning (AC) or fans in their homes. AC is indeed very effective in lowering the room temperature quickly, but it has a fairly burdensome weakness, namely high electricity consumption. Electricity bills can swell at the end of the month, especially if the AC is turned on continuously throughout the day.

Luckily, fans can be a more energy-efficient alternative. While not as cool as air conditioning, fans can be tricked into providing almost the same cool sensation. There is a life hack shared by the TikTok account @zona.check.out to make your fan as cool as air conditioning.

As reported by brilio.net on Monday (4/12), here are the steps you can follow at home.

1. Prepare four medium-sized used bottles. Make 5-10 holes in the first two bottles while cutting off the bottom of the bottle.

2. The cap part is then connected to the other two bottles using glue, so that the four bottle caps become two parts. As shown in the picture below.

3. Tie the bottle to the back of the fan using a tip cord to secure the connection. Once attached, fill the bottle with ice cubes.

4. Turn on the fan, then the wind produced by this fan will feel cool because of the effect of the cold air from the ice cubes being absorbed from behind.

5. The bottom of the bottle functions as a water reservoir when the ice melts. How, easy right?
