The house occupied by Rocky Gerung previously experienced a land dispute with PT Sentul City Tbk. The dispute involves land ownership status in Bojongkoneng Village, Babakanmadang District, Bogor Regency. In this matter, he and the residents of Bojongkoneng Village who experienced a dispute complained about the problem to Komnas HAM and the Indonesian Ombudsman.
In 2021, PT Sentul City Tbk gave Rocky a summons to immediately demolish the house and vacate the land he currently occupies. If the summons is not heeded, Rocky's house will immediately be put in order in accordance with applicable regulations. However, Rocky refused because Rocky had owned the land and building since 2009.
However, despite the conflict, both of them agreed to peace at the end of 2021. This news was confirmed by Rocky's attorney , Haris Azhar, who said the two had reconciled. Sentul City's plan to evict the houses of Rocky Gerung and local residents was canceled.
"It's true (they have made peace). Regarding Rocky Gerung and the residents there is no (plan for eviction), it is cancelled," replied Haris, quoted by brilio.net from merdeka.com, Thursday (15/02).
