Brilio.net/en - Have you ever struggled to cope with a serious injury before? If you have, you should know how slow and boring the rehabilitation process is. To overcome such dull experiences, there's an innovation coming all the way from Romania that helps ease the rehabilitation burden. Cosmin Mihaiu is the co-founder of Mira Rehab, a software company which offers a large variety of therapeutic games to make rehabilitation a not-so-boring process after all!
Currently, there are 14 different games, each with their unique motives. They include picking up digital objects and placing them on a shelf (good for shoulder rotation) to a Space Invader-type game but with birds, a submarine adventure that requires swimming motions and a game where you bounce across lily leaves as a frog. Cognitive games are also available to boost mental health.

Mira Rehab collaborates with Microsoft Kinect, a motion sensor which tracks human movements. Therefore, the game would only function if the correct motions are being performed. The software package costs 2,500 per unit and is already utilized in 25 hospitals worldwide. Games are awesome, aye?
