Brilio.net - A mattress is an important piece of furniture in a home, used to rest after a day of activities. Many people choose a mattress with the best material for comfortable sleep. In addition to the mattress, sheets are also important to cover the mattress to keep it clean. Sheets are usually made of soft materials such as cotton and must be washed regularly so that they do not become a nest for dust and dirt. Ideally, sheets are washed once a week or at most once every two weeks to prevent dirt and dust from causing black, moldy crust that is difficult to clean with detergent alone.
However, dirty sheets can still be cleaned. YouTube user EK TV Channel shared an easy way to wash moldy sheets in one of his uploads, providing a practical solution to dealing with stubborn mold stains.
Instead of just using detergent, he chose to utilize two kitchen ingredients available at home. As reported by BrilioFood on Tuesday (12/31), the YouTube user used dish soap and vinegar to make moldy sheets clean again.

To clean it, prepare a bucket or plastic tub to soak the dirty sheets. After that, add 4 tablespoons of citric acid and 2 tablespoons of dish soap.

To mix the citric acid and dish soap evenly, he also added 2 ladles of hot water mixed with 6 ladles of cold water. Stir the two ingredients until evenly mixed. Then put in the dirty sheets to soak for 10-15 minutes.

After soaking the sheets for 15 minutes, the water from soaking them looks dull, indicating that the mold stains have started to lift. After that, rinse the sheets with clean water. Then the YouTube user continues the washing process with a washing machine. He added a spoonful of liquid detergent to wash the dirty sheets.

After washing, rinse the sheets again manually by mixing 3 ladles of cold water, 1 cap of perfume bottle, and 1 cap of vinegar bottle. Soak the sheets again in the perfume and vinegar mixture. Then dry the sheets and hang them to dry. The sheets that initially looked dull and shabby will be clean again like new.
