Brilio.net/en - If youre a Facebook user, youll be relieved to know that Facebook is currently working on a Facebook Safety Check alert system. As the name suggests, it is designed for you to check-in to inform your loved ones and all your random Facebook friends that youre safe and sound when near a dangerous situation!
This alert system works in a brilliant way. It tracks your location, and if youre caught in a precarious incident, it will send you a request so that you can check-in to confirm your safety. This new Facebook feature was tested just a few days ago at the Lahore bombing site in Pakistan, but it backfired as nobody in the area received any notifications. Instead, random people from other parts of the world were notified about it. The discrepancy came about due to the presence of a bug, and is currently being worked upon.
Apparently @Facebook thinks I'm in Pakistan. Fortunately not! Interesting to see how this feature works though. pic.twitter.com/a0BCAfrDfr

Facebook may have no idea where I am geographically, asking if I'm safe, but at least I've been informed. #jour254 https://t.co/vE69rEznkz

Despite the false alarms, its exciting to come to know of Facebooks real life-saving plan. Hopefully, this global social media platform will soon make its mark for a completely different purpose. Dont forget to inform your family and friends to get a Facebook account for you never know that it may be very useful one day!
