But instead of replacing it with a new one, you can actually fix this broken plastic ladle. An Instagram user @mellamaryana has proven it herself. Through one of the videos she uploaded, she claimed to be able to patch a leaking plastic ladle to make it stronger.
As reported by brilio.net from Instagram @mellamaryana on Thursday (16/1), it only takes two ingredients to patch a broken ladle, namely wheat flour and G glue. Although it looks unusual, wheat flour has been proven to increase the adhesive power of G glue. Therefore, the ladle becomes stronger and does not leak easily.

For a clearer way of using it, place the ladle upside down first. After that, sprinkle enough flour on the cracked or perforated part. Make sure the flour covers the cracks in the ladle.

After that, drip glue G evenly on the cracked part. Make sure the flour is wet, so the glue will stick better. After that, let it sit for a few minutes until the glue is completely dry.

Shortly after drying, the ladle will be stronger. Even if it has been given water, the cracked part is no longer leaking water. This indicates that the patched part is strong and safe to use again.
Indeed, basically, the addition of wheat flour to G glue (cyanoacrylate glue) can make its adhesive power stronger because the flour acts as a filler that strengthens the bond between the surfaces to be glued. When mixed with glue, wheat flour creates a thicker and more solid mixture, so it can fill gaps or cracks better.
In addition, the flour particles help speed up the drying process of the glue by absorbing moisture from the air. This strengthens the chemical reaction in G-glue, which works by hardening when exposed to moisture. As a result, the glue bonds faster and forms a solid structure in the cracked area.
This mixture also creates a thicker, more pressure-resistant texture, making it perfect for repairing broken ladle parts. This way, the glued parts not only hold together, but also have better resistance to everyday use.
