Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat is set to perform an operational trial for Transjakarta corridor 13 (Tendean-Ciledug) at night.

Djarot said the test will be conducted before the corridor's launching on August 17, to evaluate the quality of streetlight.

"Lighting is very essential to optimize Transjakarta buses' operational. I will perform a trial at night," said Djarot, at the Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday.

Djarot is confident that the remaining technical issues, including the shelter problems, could be resolved immediately and not to hamper the inauguration plan.

"I've instructed PT Transjakarta, Transportation Department and Bina Marga Department to finalize the required technical preparations," he added.

On Monday, Djarot revealed the streetlight installation at Corridor 13 was still in the process, as it is still strained by altitude problem.

Based on the schedule, the corridor will be opened onIndependence Day and is aimed to reduce traffic congestion from Tangerang to Jakarta and vice versa.
