Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) recently named Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe a suspect for election violation during the Tolikara election.

Lukas Enembe was reported by one of the Tolikara Regent candidates, Amos Yikwa, for allegedly committing a violation during the cooling off period on May 14, 2017.

In his campaign, Enembe urged people to vote for Usman Wanimbo as the Regent of Tolikara in a re-election of the district.

An agreementbetween Enembe and complainant Amos Yikwa had been made as both sides signed a peace statement on June 19, 2017, yet the legal process is still running.

Gakkumdu of Papua Chief Investigator, who is also the Papua Police Chief, Ins. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said that the casefile had been handed over to the local's prosecutor office.

"The status is suspect and for the complaint revocation, it needs to be discussed with Gakkumdu since it wasn't only the police that is within the Gakkumdu center," explained Boy after attending the 71st Anniversary of Papua Mobile Brigade at the Papua Brimob field, Jayapura, Monday.

Despite the complaint letter revocation, the process of investigation, according to Boy, is still continued because it wasn't a criminal complaint but rather a special violation regarding election.
