President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla visited victims of Kampung Melayu bombing at Keramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta at 9 p.m. last night.

We have visited and seen directly the victims of the bombing at Kampung Melayu and we deeply regret it," Jokowi said.

He appealed all Indonesians to stay calm and united in fighting against terrorism.

I say to all Indonesians all over the country to stay calm [and] keep united as all have to stay alert and keep on uniting in this fighting against terrorism. And there is no placefor terrorism," he continued.

Mysterious plastic bag

After Jokowi and JK visited the location of Kampung Melayu bombing, a number of residents who were at first banned to go near the point of bomb attack started to swarm in. They wanted to see the point which is behind a public toilet.

Meanwhile at the bus station, the workers of Transjakarta were busy cleaning broken glass caused by the explosion.

A white plastic bag caught the attention of residents who came to see the point. They felt curious and tried to find out what it is.

Their curiosity turned into horror and disgust after knowing the plastic bag contained burnt objects spreading stinking burning smell.

It smells like a carcass, I feel like throwing up, said a woman who tried to find out what it was inside the plastic bag.

Other residents started to think that there might be pieces of human body belonging to the bomber.

There were some burnt objects inside the bag which looked like a piece of a backpack and allegedly pieces of human body.

Security team who were around the explosion point had warned people not to touch whatever was inside the plastic bag.
