Did Brilio's friends know that in Tegal there is a 'warteg village'?

Warteg or Warung Tegal is very popular in Indonesia. This typical Tegal food is sold at an economical price, so there is no doubt that this food is very popular.

However, it turns out that so many warteg entrepreneurs in Indonesia originally came from Sidakaton Village residents who migrated out of town. So Sidakaton Village is nicknamed Warteg Village.

The residents of Sidakaton Village began to migrate in the early 60s, but not as warteg entrepreneurs but as traders of coffee, sticky rice or Sidakaton's own typical snacks.

In Sidakaton Village, what is unique is that the average warteg entrepreneur has a magnificent house but looks deserted and uninhabited. The reason was that the owner abandoned him and went abroad. Warteg entrepreneurs usually go home 15 days before Eid al-Fitr and the luxury houses in Sidakaton Village automatically look busy with their native residents.

However, the livelihood of the residents of Sidakaton Village is not entirely as warteg entrepreneurs. Some of them also work as farmers and so on. Warteg entrepreneurs who have migrated have their own community called the Sidakaton and Sidapurna Association (PERSIDA). They always keep in touch on major Islamic holidays and help the village such as Augustan celebrations.

Warteg entrepreneurs from Sidakaton Village are mostly spread across Jabodetabek, but some have even gone to Kalimantan to set up warteg businesses in the area there. Brilio friends also need to know that not all warteg entrepreneurs are from Sidakaton Village. However, most of the others came from Sidapurna and Dukuhturi villages.
