Jakarta Government confirmed its Asian Games 2018 preparation has reached 40 percent completion, and they are working to finish it on time.

The preparation progress has reached 40 percent and everything will keep going on, said Jakarta's Deputy on Social Affairs Fatahillah, Wednesday.

For the event, the government is planning to build Velodrome stadium, equestrian race track and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) based transportation. The projects will be conducted by government-owned PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro).

[They're all] still in development stage, Fatahillah continued.

Apart from the infrastructure building, Fatahillah claimed the Jakarta government is in close contact with Indonesia Asian Games 2018 Organizing Committee (INASGOC) and holds a meeting twice a month.

They also work together with the administrative level health and farming agencies, especially on the equestrian race track project.

Because there will be equestrian game, [the horses] should be sterile from disease. So, good coordination at city level is needed, Fatahillah added.

Asian Games 2018 will be held on August 18 to September 2, 2018in Jakarta and Palembang, with Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno as the main venue.
